Are the gold bars in Fort Knox really made of the precious metal? Or has the U.S. government secretly sold off the nation’s stockpile and replaced it with metal bars that are only painted gold?

Giving legitimacy to an Internet conspiracy theory that the gold in Fort Knox is fake, the iconoclast Republican congressman from Texas has asked adminstration officials to audit the purity of the nation’s 700,000 gold bars held in Fort Knox, according to an internal Treasury document obtained by CNBC.

Then I have called my supervisor (well, there is still one, my rank in the Elders’ HQ notwithstanding) and received a special permission to go public on this subject. So, here we go.

It is not a secret that chief of Federal Reserve is usually Jewish. Many fine upstanding citizens complained and are complaining about it, to no avail of course. What was a secret until now is that every new Fed chief goes through extensive and exhausting program of athletic training prior to getting the job. I suspect that some of you may have already guessed the reason for it. Indeed, schlepping the fake “gold” bars into Fort Knox and getting the true ones out, all that during the night, is not an easy task. If you appreciate that a gold bar weighs 27.5 pounds and consider the fact that every morning the chief has to be in the office, bright and chirpy, you will understand why we replace them so frequently. No, it’s not because of the cushy job with great benefits, I can tell you that much…

Well, by now the story bears telling, since a) many of you suspected so anyway and b) the job is finished, to Elders’ HQ full satisfaction. We left a few real gold bars here and there, for the usual ole spot check (to be conducted by the chief of Federal Reserve, of course, so we’ve marked these bars by a Star of David). Otherwise, all the good stuff is located now under a certain ugly (some even say ugliest) building in Jerusalem.

As for that:

The Treasury document says it would cost about $15 million to conduct an audit. The process would take about 30 minutes to verify the gold content of each bar, or 350,000 man hours; to do that would would take 400 people working for six months, according to the document.

Really, you should save the money. If this guy become president, he may need it.

So, to take a look backward with some satisfaction:

• 2000 – getting to dominate the world: check.
• 2011 – finishing relocation of the Fort Knox gold: check
• 2011 – upsetting Ron Paul’s digestion: check
• 2020 – so far confidential, but we’ll get there, no doubt.

But, on the bonus side – you could still get this guy for POTUS, you know:

One document quoted Erekat as telling an Israeli official: “It is no secret that …we are offering you the biggest Yerushalayim in history.” He used the Hebrew word for Jerusalem.

Ahmed Qurie, the lead Palestinian negotiator in 2008, was quoted as proposing that Israel annex all Jewish settlements in Jerusalem except Har Homa. He also said Israel could keep control of a part of the Old City of Jerusalem.

“This is the first time in history that we make such a proposition,” the document quoted Ahmed Qurie as saying.

Really? Saab Erekat called Jerusalem “Yerushalayim”? That’s awfully convenient, if you’re looking to discredit Erekat utterly in Arab eyes.

I’m not buying either quote. And I’m especially not buying the so-called intransigence of the Israeli side. The fact that the Guardian says it has verified the documents is meaningless. The Guardian has had an anti-Israel agenda for decades. Let someone else (preferably several someones) verify the documents before I believe them.

The left blames the right. The right blames the left. The sane blame insanity. What Loughner put on Youtube and what he said to friends about his conspiratorial beliefs is simple insanity. Many of us try to explain terrible events by trying to attribute order to them, giving them a cause and therefore and effect that we can comprehend. Some went after leaders on the political right including Glenn Beck and Rush Limbaugh, but most strongly Governor Palin. They argued that her words and actions incited this man to this deed. Palin had evidently placed crosshairs on a map of congressional seats to target as especially important to win for those politically aligned with her. Rep. Giffords district was one of them. “Palin put crosshairs on Giffords! She must be responsible!”

Well friends, Loughner published a lot online and with incredible and ludicrous details. No where does he mention anything about Sarah Palin, Glenn Beck, or Rush Limbaugh. Here is where anti-Judaism creeps in to the picture.

No few people accused Palin of inciting Loughner to this action and Palin responded by accusing them of a “blood libel“. “Blood Libel!” Some Jewish leaders screamed:

Blood libel is a term that belongs to us! It can only refer to accusations that Jews use the blood of others for baking matzah, for sacrifices, for gefilte fish, for powering Dimona, as a secret ingredient in Coca Cola, for making Barbies and other actions of pure evil.

Well, I embellish a bit. The reality is that “blood libel” does indeed have painful connotations for Jews. Libels have resulted in pogroms against the Jews time and again with some entire communities being massacred. Yet the concept is a simple one, and here Governor Palin was correct. The concept is that one community, or even a person, is accused of a murder in which they were totally uninvolved because the accuser wishes to do that community, or the specific people accused, harm regardless of their culpability. Jews were accused of crimes because people hated the Jews, not because they were involved in the crimes. Meanwhile, the Jewish community officially objects to Gov. Palin’s use of the term. Okay. I think it was appropriate to an extent, but using another term would have been better, one option which I will share with you in a moment.

Where does the anti-Judaism come in? It comes into the picture with the selective outcry about incitement. All one need do is to look at the difference between the coverage of the Fort Hood shooting and the Tucson shooting. In the Fort Hood shooting, the perpetrator was a devout Muslim who had at one point attended the mosque in America led by Anwar Al-Awlaki, near the top of the Al-Qaeda chart. Al-Awlaki is the head of Al-Qaeda in Yemen. No one in the mainstream media, N-O O-N-E, would ever accuse Maj. Hasan of being incited by an Imam in an American Mosque, would they??? Hasan had direct contact and was in communication with Al-Awlaki in America!!! But the media blamed the army, the right wing in fact, for persecuting him, even though the military welcomed him and went out of its way to help him through his schooling and residency.

Let us compare that to the Tucson incident. In that, the media immediately looked for incitement by right wing leaders, going so far as to ignore the facts published by Loughner himself that negated their arguments. Who needs facts when you have a narrative that you like to use! Some of you have just noted that this is where Governor Palin is connected with anti-Judaism.

Jews and Israel specifically are often accused of crimes that they not only did not commit, but can provide evidence that they had nothing to do with. Yet there are those out there who accuse none-the-less. Is the argument that Israel trained sharks to attack tourists in Egypt not libelous? What about the argument that the Mossad is responsible for the attacks against Christians in Iraq rather than the Muslims who claimed responsibility? How about those who argue that Israel perpetrated 9/11? I could go on and on, but you get the point. The assertion that Governor Palin’s words somehow impelled this wacko (wacko is far nicer a term than is deserving) to bloodlust is not only totally unfounded, but is in fact controverted by the evidence offered by Loughner himself. Should Governor Palin and others similarly accused have called the media’s accusation a “blood libel” as opposed to a Media Libel, which is the term I would rather apply, or some other similar term? Perhaps she should have used another term. But fussing at her about her use of “Blood Libel” misses the real point. The real point is that the same narrative hugging, fact denying, that is going on against Israel and has been going on against the Jews for time immemorial is being applied in the mainstream American press to their perceived opponents on the political right.

Far from being guilty of anti-Judaism, Governor Palin and others on the political right including Glenn Beck and Rush Limbaugh, who were also similarly accused of incitement, were in many ways the victims of anti-Judaism simply applied beyond the boundaries of the Jewish community and unto friends of Israel. Meanwhile, as I write this, Rep. Giffords, a strong supporter of Israel and a member of the all too persecuted tribe, is making a remarkable recovery in a Houston hospital. My thoughts are with her, with her family, with others making recoveries and with the families of those who lost loved ones to Sinat Hinam, blind hatred.

Parts of the Middle East have been swamped by unusual flash floods after unseasonal torrential rain swept from Egypt to Jordan. In addition, Israel is being accused of deliberately flooding Palestinians out of their homes by opening a dam to release built-up water without warning.

In a blog that calls itself Palestine Video – A Palestine Vlog, they know enough to tell that:

Israel has opened up the Wadi Dam and flooded Gaza.

The poor doofus who has written this doesn’t know that Wadi means “A valley, gully, or stream bed in northern Africa and southwest Asia that remains dry except during the rainy season“. And that there are hundreds (if not thousands) of wadis in the region. There is indeed one specific wadi that is called Wadi Ghasa, but “Wadi Dam” doesn’t carry any meaning. Here is Wadi Ghaza (marked “A” on the map below) – a gulch deep inside the Gaza strip:

It will require a commando operation to get into the Gaza strip to open the dam (that isn’t there)… but, nevertheless, the claim was immediately picked up by Press TV – the Iranian “media arm”. And then it appears that there are more than just one damn dam:

Gaza rulers said that the flood of rain and sewage stormed the central Gaza Strip after Israel opened several dams on the borders between eastern Gaza Strip and Israel.

It becomes curiosier and curiosier. And of course, the Zionist media claims that there are no dams:

In the Eshkol regional council, which borders the Strip, the claims were dismissed. The council said it knew nothing of such a dam.

Yeah, yeah, sure, but never forget that there is nothing simpler for the Elders than to build several damn dams overnight, organize torrential rains and than suddenly open the gates.

Of course you understand that this is also a golden opportunity to slip into the floodwater some especially virulent strains of bird flu, swine flu, ZioFlu, TamiFlu, Ebola and HIV, not to mention a designer head cold…

(*) I was going to use the same “lone nut” label for Mr Hoffman. However, I soon realized that Idaho proved to be a fertile breeding or, at least, holding ground for all kinds of nuts. So, while he is undeniably a nut, he is far from being a lone one. Besides, after a closer look at that picture, with that bow tie, this artful halo around his noggin and, especially, that humongous schnozzle, a dreadful suspicion crept into my bones: what if this is one of our own outdated field models that we have written off long ago and forgotten to send for scrap? Director of National Intelligence Dennis C. Blair announced today that Ambassador Charles W. Freeman Jr. has requested that his selection to be Chairman of the National Intelligence Council not proceed. Director Blair accepted Ambassador Freeman’s decision with regret.

I know this is like shooting fish in a barrel, but watch for the left to blame neocons, the Israel Lobby, and, well, Jews in general—even though Freeman’s pro-Saudi and pro-Chinese ties were obvious for anyone who could see past the veiled anti-Semitism of Freeman’s supporters.

I’ve been writing about Jewish and Israeli issues on this blog since the spring of 2002. This is the first time I’ve ever felt troubled about being a Jew in America. It’s bad enough that Jews the world over are being targeted, beaten, bullied, and boycotted.

I’m starting to get very tired of reading in about the Israel/Zionist/neocon control of America in the American media. I expect that sort of crap from Europe and the Arabs. I’m starting to expect it here, now. No, it isn’t “starting.” It’s now in the realm of “So what else is new?”

Seven years this spring, I’ve been writing about Jews, Israel, and anti-Semitism. The only thing that’s changed is how far-reaching the acceptance of Jew-hatred has become.

Mehdi Khazali, the son of the conservative Ayatollah Khazali, has written on his personal website that he recently learned that President Mahmud Ahmadinejad has Jewish roots. Khazali notes that Ahmadinejad changed his family name from Saburjian, and says that the origins of the Saburjian family in the town of Aradan should be investigated.

Cannot wait for Mahmoud the Mad to start checking with our Interior Ministry the possibility of getting a passport.

We really do need a few carpet weavers here, this ancient craft is disappearing…

Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh has said the security forces have arrested a group of alleged Islamist militants linked to Israeli intelligence.

And of course (this usually goes without saying):

Mr Saleh did not say what evidence had been found to show the group’s links with Israel, a regional enemy of Yemen.

There even is a name:

Mr Saleh did not identify the suspects, but official sources were quoted saying it was same cell – led by a militant called Abu al-Ghaith al-Yamani – whose arrest was announced a week after the attack.
