President Obama was given a humanitarian award by Steven Spielberg’s USC’s Shoah Foundation. Here’s what he said:
“We only need to look at today’s headlines: The devastation of Syria, the murders and kidnappings in Nigeria, the sectarian conflicts, the tribal conflicts to see that we have not yet extinguished man’s darkest impulses,” Obama said.
Um. Is he calling Islam a “darker impulse”? No. He is excusing the kidnapping of hundreds of Christian girls–for the crime of being educated–by an Islamic group that deliberately calls itself “Western education is sinful”. And that’s just their nickname. Their full name?
The group has officially adopted the name “the Congregation of the People of Tradition for Proselytism and Jihad”
Man’s “darker impulses” have killed over 10,000 Nigerians.

They added 310 more to the body count yesterday, as they brutally attacked Christians because–well, because they’re not Muslims.
Witnesses described a well-coordinated attack that began shortly after 1:30 p.m. local time Monday at a busy outdoor market in Gamboru Ngala.
Wearing military uniforms, the militants arrived with three armored personnel carriers, they said.
They shouted “Allahu Akbar” — “God is great” — and opened up on the market, firing rocket-propelled grenades and tossing improvised explosive devices, witnesses said.
Some marketgoers tried to take shelter in shops only to be burned alive when the gunmen set fire to a number of the businesses, the witnesses said.
Is that enough to say they’re an Islamic terrorist group? Or at least call them jihadis? Because it isn’t “darker impulses” inspiring them to murder Christians. It’s their version of Islam.
This is one time where I’d be quite happy if Obama wanted the U.S. to play global cop and send in some troops to take these guys out. But I doubt he will.
The same mindset for the so called referral to “East” Jerusalem where Jews were forcibly kicked out of the Jewish quarter by Arabs and then not even allowed to pray at the Western wall during the Jordan occupation of Jerusalem from 1948 to 1967. The Arab logic is that conquering land by Muslims is acceptable, but losing it later in defensive wars constitutes “occupation” by the original owners.
I blame the west for the legions of useful idiots that cannot find fault with this logic, and help perpetuate it.
They screamed “Allahu Akbar” as they slaughtered innocent people? Golly, I wonder would could motivate people to do something like this? Sounds like workplace violence to me, but I don’t think they were at work. It’s a puzzlement.
