Did you all remember to write the new year in your checkbooks? (Stolen from Lair Simon, who no longer blogs, alas.)

Surpise, Syria! The IDF ordered a surprise exercise on the Golan Heights today to test Israel’s readiness for a Syrian invasion. Just routine, right?

“This drill is part of a routine program of checks and surprise exercises held throughout the year by the IDF comptroller. It is being held under the command of Brig.-Gen. Roee Riptin, who is the chief artillery officer,” the IDF Spokesman’s Unit said.

However, it should be noted that the exercise is taking place only a week after the Golani Brigade conducted an even more extensive exercise near the Lebanese border.

I wonder if that’s part of why Chipmunk Cheeks came out to yammer about the Mohammed film and swear death to America, or something. We’re shaking in our boots, Hassan, baby. On the other hand, the Lebanese embassy is now destroying classified documents after threats to attack it. It’s a veritable redoubt, according to Michael Totten. (Isn’t “redoubt” an awesome word?)

Ah, the Muslim outreach that Obama did. It’s working so well, isn’t it? They love Americans even more now that Bush is no longer president. Oh. Wait.

Those silly Muslim Brotherhood moderates: Those awesome “moderates” now in control of Egypt are doing those moderate things again. They’re cozying up to Hamas. They’re ordering arrest warrants for American citizens. They “protested” in front of the U.S. embassy in Cairo, getting more and more threatening, until President Obama called President Morsi. Cut off aid to Egypt and pull out our embassy staff. That will stop the threats. Or make them impotent, anyway.

Is not is not is not! Using anti-Semitic tropes does not make your words anti-Semitic. Just ask the New York Times and Maureen Dowd. The fact that everyone else thinks her column was tinged with anti-Semitic imagery? Well, they’re just wrong.

That’s funny, I thought he was done with:
Politico publishes a poll result today that has Obama at 47 and Romney at 46. But I keep reading in the MSM that nobody’s going to vote for him. Why doesn’t he just abandon his campaign now? It’s over, dude. Over in September.

Riiiight.
