Helen Thomas, your anti-Semitism is showing

So we’ve all seen the despicable quotes from Helen Thomas by now telling the Jews of Israel to go back to Germany, Poland, and the U.S., right?

Lair Simon has an excellent idea. He’s inquiring into buying her a guest membership to the Houston Holocaust Museum. I think we should purchase her a guest membership closer to home, to the Washington Holocaust Museum. Or perhaps we should just buy memberships for her all over the world. It would raise money for Holocaust remembrance and shame this openly Jew-hating scumbag disguisiner herself as a reporter.

Ari Fleischer says she should lose her job over this. I wholeheartedly agree.

“She should lose her job over this,” Fleischer said in an email. “As someone who is Jewish, and as someone who worked with her and used to like her, I find this appalling.”

“She is advocating religious cleansing. How can Hearst stand by her? If a journalist, or a columnist, said the same thing about blacks or Hispanics, they would already have lost their jobs.”

Ed and Allahpundit don’t think she’s going to get fired. I disagree. Keep the heat on her. Turn up the volume. Write to Hearst. Write to the White House. Do not let this Jew-hater keep her seat when there are actual journalists like Jake Tapper who deserve to be in the front row, asking the first question.

Here’s her non-apology apology:

“I deeply regret my comments I made last week regarding the Israelis and the Palestinians. They do not reflect my heart-felt belief that peace will come to the Middle East only when all parties recognize the need for mutual respect and tolerance. May that day come soon.”

Note that she doesn’t say anything except that she regrets her comments. Not an apology. Not a “Sorry I said I wanted all Jews out of Israel; I didn’t really mean it.” Because she did mean it. All she did was issue a statement with the word “regret” so she can claim she apologized.

Fire her, Hearst.

One hour after posting and this is only the first comment. See how certain things become “old news” very quickly? In any event, NOT firing her is the best response. I don’t want her put out to pasture. I want Thomas to stay in the spotlight, where everyone can see her true nature. Let her vent her true feelings. Let her make excuses that she’s “only criticizing the way the Israeli government works” – this would just reveal her hypocrisy the next time she’s caught on camera this way. Recently O’Reilly’s Fox show polled their audience on the value of YouTube. Well, YouTube’s ability to display people in their “natural state” and keep them there is one of its values. And by the way, Helen, even if all the Jews left the Middle East and went elsewhere (a desert island in the Pacific? The South Pole?) there would still be millions of people like yourself to follow them around and demonize them. So nothing changes anyway.

As Helen Thomas should know, but apparently doesn’t, about half the Jewish population of Israel comes from Arab countries, where many of them were persecuted every bit as much as the Jews in Europe. Does she think they should now go back to places like Syria and Saudi Arabia to enjoy the warm welcome, religious freedom, and return of their homes and property that they’re sure to receive?

This is a taste of things to come. The climate in the US is rapidly changing, in more ways than one. The Jews living in the Golden Medina should start making alternative living plans. With every country on the globe despising Israel, that leaves only one to return to. Hurry because the shit is about to hit the fan in a serious way.

While it is shameful that a major journalist drinks deeply from the cup of anti-Semitism, it certainly isn’t surprising. Pat Buchanan has been mining
that particular vein of thought for a long time.

Andrew Sullivan started preaching anti-Semitism two years ago and continues
    to do so.

This is from the bearded one’s latest post in the Atlantic:

“Their [Jewish Americans) total identification with Israel is often emotionally
as strong, if not stronger, as their identification with America.” He even
admits that “To charge dual loyalty is described as a blood libel, a vile anti-Semitic charge…”

But not, of course, when dear old Andy does it.

    Nope.

When he cites that age-old anti-Semitic canard it is because he only wants to
point out the danger that American Jews pose to the United States. Nothing
anti-Semitic there. “Move along. Nothing to see.”

How touching he cares so much for the United States. Yet he still holds British
citizenship. (He has ‘announced’ his intention to become an American citizen, but
has yet to do so. Too busy smoking pot in National Forests perhaps?)

Of course Andy is so wonderful and brilliant and able to be objective in his
cogent analyses that in his case it couldn’t possibly be … you know … an
    ACTUAL of dual loyalty.

Don’t even get me started on Bill Press’ and vitriolic continual condemnation of the world’s only Jewish state. Or Tom Brokaw’s comments about what the Israeli’s can learn at Buchenwald on how to treat the Palestinians.

Unfortunately, these far too many “journalists” have become infected with the
virus that is anti-Semitism. And even more unfortunate is that they are all
    still gainfully employed.

I was disgusted by Helen Thomas’ remark, and her vile snickering afterwards. It illustrated just how much she knew what she was saying was wrong, and getting a kick out of it. This is an affront to the Jewish people, but also to all US citizens. Our fathers, and grandfathers risked their lives to take a stand against the atrocities perpetuated by the nazis, to make the world a safe, a better place. The same greatness that made this country free, obviously attracted Thomas’ parents to emigrate here from Lebanon, yet she spits in the face of those rights and freedoms. Turkey, which hasn’t been an ally of Israel for some time now, the same Turkey that perpetuated the Armenian genocide and is offended by anyone recognizing that it was a genocide, is the guilty party here. While I believe both the Palestinians and Israel need to sit down together and resolve a peaceful future, it’s ludicrous to expect Israel to do so, when in the Palestinian constitution, it calls for Israel to be wiped off the map. When is Hezbollah Helen going to address that fact? Or be confronted by the fact that there have been Jewish people in those lands, since there was a Jewish people. I believe she must be fired, not because I believe it will hurt her in any way, but because there has to be a stand on behalf of journalistic standards and ethnics, and for decency and what is right in the US.

  7. Mary says:

btw, Thomas only apologized because she was stood up to. She’s only sorry that she was caught on the record saying what she did.

  8. Tatterdemalian says:

The narrative I’ve been hearing on the various video gamer sites declares that the whole “Jewish connection” to Jerusalem or even the ancient land of Judea is a fraud whose only source is some religious book written by an “invisible sky wizard.” They actually are insisting that the Jewish religion is no more than 500 years old and was invented in Dark Ages Europe by a malcontent Christian sect determined to colonize the Middle East.

The scariest thing is how completely invincible their stupidity is. I’ve already tried pointing people to archaeological evidence from the Temples of Solomon and City of David, only to be told they’re “Zionist propaganda,” as is anything else that doesn’t match their neo-Nazi beliefs. The youth have already fallen, it seems, and that makes the rise of another Hitler inevitable. Let’s hope this time around the existence of Israel will make a difference.

  9. Gary Rosen says:

It is much worse even than wanting all Jews out of Israel. By saying “go back to Germany and Poland” she *really* meant “go back to Auschwitz”. My actual thoughts on her are far too profane for Meryl’s comments.

  10. Dick Stanley says:

We should raise money to provide her with a one-way ticket to Gaza. Let her live among them for a year or two and then ask her how she feels about it all.

  11. martin j smith says:

Helen Thomas did the Jewish people an enormous favor which must now be exploited. You know when people are not quite”themselves” due to fatigue, drug or alcohol related use, old age ( especially in the mental area ) they reveal a lot more than they intend or realize. This is true of Helen Thomas. She revealed the true nature Left–our MSM journalists ( for I believe her sentiments are shared by many others ). Now that it is done, I would say make use of it. Never let people forget this quote play over and over again.

  12. Herschel says:

During the 1930’s the chant was “Jews go back to Palestine” now this old hateful anti-Semitic witch states “Jews out of Palestine,” what she and her Arab friends really want is Jews off the planet! I do not know what is best, firing her sorry ass, or allowing the witch to stay on, and then humiliating her by NEVER allowing her to ask another press conference question. I opt for firing the wicked witch now!
Also, how long would a national reporter last if they on camera stated “American blacks back to Africa’?

  13. chairwoman says:

“Also, how long would a national reporter last if they on camera stated “American blacks back to Africa’?”

Certain ethnic groups are sacrosant here in the UK other(s) fair game, and American Jews are just beginning to discover that the Goldener Medina may be made of the same base metal as Europe.

The difference seems to be that here, the average Brit prefers Jews to other minority groups, and it’s really only the ‘Observant, Independent, Guardianistas’ that go for the whole antisemitic (sorry, anti Zionist) shtik.

  14. some urls on this would be nice, Tatterdemalian

and as to Ms Thomas… why are we surprised? The barrier against being anti semitic in the public square broke a long time ago.

In point of fact we have simply returned to the status quo ante World War II when such actions were so common that they were barely remarked at.

    Welcome to the future, folks.

  15. Terry says:

She should have been fired years ago. Maybe Obama can give her a czars job.

  16. Soccerdad says:

As punishment she should have to suffer plastic surgery to make the ugliest hag on the planet. Oh, never mind. Too late.
