Obama administration forces Honduras to let anti-Semitic nutjob back in power: So, the guy who said that Mossad agents were poisoning him is going to be back in charge of Honduras in some fashion, forced there by the United States and the OAS overriding Honduras’ Supreme Court decisions and the laws of the nation. Way to go, Obama! Way to work for the rule of law. Oh, wait. It’s the Chicago Way. I keep forgetting.

Awesome: Congressional nitwit puts private ethics investigation data on public website. You have to love the internet age, because people being people, there are still just as many idiots as there were before everything was online. Only now when they make mistakes, we get to see what’s really going on behind the scenes in Congress.

Postcards from the IDF:
Yossi Klein Halevi on Israeli citizens’ receipt of a postcard that details how much time they have to get to the nearest bomb shelter in the event of a missile attack. A sobering read.

No. Ya think? Best headline yet on the Iran cheat-and-retreat strategy: “Iran accused of playing games on nuclear deal.” The Telegraph wins the Keen Grasp of the Obvious award for that one.

But—but—this totally blows away the “European colonialism” argument! Genetic proof that Jews were from the land of Israel, and the man behind the science. (Of course, he’s a Jew.)

  1. re: jewish genetics — reading the article, it mentions a common ancestor of Ashkenazi Levites being from central asia 1000 years ago, “But that is also the time and location of the mythical Khazar kingdom”. 1) ask Kevin Brook about the mythicalness of Khazaria, and 2) we hardly need to be feeding the anti-semitic loons more ‘evidence’ that jews are really khazars.

  2. Meh. We’ve had converts to Judaism since the religion was born. His science isn’t proving the Khazar myth. I’d love to have my DNA checked—my grandfather was a Cohain. Or does only my brothers’ DNA count?

  3. This reminds me of a joke that is something like this.

Man to Rabbi: I want to become a Kohain so that I can get the first aliya

Rabbi: I am sorry, but we cannot appoint someone as a Kohain

Man: I will donate money to the shul

Rabbi: I am sorry but I still cannnot do that

Dialogue continues until man offers a ridiculous amount of money

Rabbi: I still cannot dot it, but why are you so intent on becoming a Kohain

Man: My father was a Kohain, my grandfather was a Kohain, and I want to be one too.

  4. Isn’t it curious that Obama refused to support Mousawi, but reinstalled Honduran president?

  5. Not curious, he always sides with the dictator or budding dictator.
Imagine if China had a falling out with North Korea or Cuba. Which commie dictator to support?

Yup. Before, people could be stupid and only maybe 100 or so people would know about it while a some more would hear the story as an urban myth, but now? The world can find out.

Like the guy who poured two bottles of “NOS” energy drink in his rice-rocket bike instead of “NOS” fuel additive (which would have been almost as bad). That page had millions of hits. Millions. That’s darn funny.
