It's incrementalism. The radical Muslims believe that they have a divine right to every piece of land that has ever passed through Muslim hands, including assorted condos throughout the United States. And there will be a new Caliph who will rule the world with an iron fist, killing everybody who doesn't observe the strictest possible interpretation of Sharia.

But they know they need to first sweet-talk the world into giving them less controversial plots of land, like Israel, so they don't talk about world-domination, except in Arabic. So they start by griping over Gaza. Then (in their playbook), after they've won there, it is Jerusalem, then all of Israel, then all of North Africa, then Spain, etc. And by the time the world decides they have to act it will be too late.

At least that's the plan. Fortunately, these radical groups are also devoted to killing each other, so it's taking a lot longer than planned.

Darn it, Meryl, call it by its right name--the Bensky Corollary to Everything.

I respectfully disagree that Hillary is, or was, a fair-weather friend of Israel. If the Clintons have shown anything during the time that they've inflicted themsleves on the American people, it's that they have no regard for anything that stands in their path to power. Their only principle is their own aggrandizement.

But yes, Obazma insists on rigid Israeli adherence to strict and quantifiable guidelines while the Palestinians are merely urged to do something that they can claim they have done without fear that anyone will check up on them. Does anyone out there actually think that at some point any US representative will point out that the school books and children's tv shows still spew hatred for Israel and Jews and so the Palestinians will be rebuked, much less pressured into actually doing anything?

Incidentally, I wonder why all the emphasis on the settlements in the disputed territories. The Arabs make it clear they don't see a difference between Etzion and Tel Aviv; they're both illegitimate Jewish settlements.

Unless something extraordinary happens, Hillary Clinton will not run for public office again. So she doesn't need the Jewish votes anymore, and she can revert to her Suha Arafat hugging days.
