Because his childhood was spent in Indonesia, he has the world view of his father as the basis of his life. His attitude towards Israel is that of the Muslims that he was raised among. Since he is a Chicago politician and a disciple of Saul Alinsky, he has only added more layers on top of that. Part of that later teaching is a basic disrespect for the truth and an intention to use anything to take power.
