German documentary proves al-Dura was a hoax

Philippe Karsenty sent an email that was published on The Iconoclast blog that says a German documentary has thoroughly proven the Mohammed al-Dura story to be a hoax perpetrated on the world by the Palestinians, with the willing blindness (or abetting) of France 2, the network that filmed the supposed death of al-Dura, and refused ever since to allow anyone to see the raw film that would prove he was not killed by the IDF. Some details:

  • The German TV used the lip-reading technique to read the father’s lips.
They discovered that Jamal al Dura gave instructions to the people who were
behind France 2’s cameraman during the filming of the scene.
  • The boy filmed by France 2 moves a red piece of cloth down his body for
    no specific reason.
  • In France 2’s news report, there is no blood – neither on Mohammed nor on
Jamal al Dura’s body, whereas the two were supposed to have received 15
    bullets all together.
  • The boy shown at the funeral as Mohammed al Dura arrived at the hospital
before 10am, whereas France 2’s news report was filmed after 2:30pm.

Since the mainstream media won’t be passing this around, please send this information out to your favorite blogs. The Mohammed al-Dura hoax is one of the most well-known blood libels against Israel in modern times. And while I hold out little hope that even releasing the raw France 2 footage will stop people from believing in the lie, well, I’m still going to tilt at that windmill.

A windmill worth tilting at indeed.

This is the first time I’ve read of evidence that the father was instructing others in the production. More stunning evidence of the mendacity of the Pals, the complicity of Enderlin and France 2, and the gullibility of the West.

Thanks for keeping me up to speed Meryl!

There are too many lies out there, any conversation about any politically charged topic has to include a 10 minute prelude where you have to change misconceptions and address lies like this.

My friends are sick of me saying, “That’s not so” and then proving it. Their eyes get glazed over, they just don’t really care.

Willful ignorance is too easy and besides, there is nothing less socially acceptable than disagreeing with the consensus… and being correct.
