When was your last Tetanus shot?

Watch for red lines running down from the scratch site. Stay open for a visit to the ER if needed.

And as my Mom-in-Law used to say "You need some real chicken soup"

If Miss Gracie were a child, I'd check for icky tonsils or ear infection.

Got antibiotics. I called the doc back and said I didn't see how topical cream would stop the progression of this problem. And I slept for two hours this afternoon, after sleeping a full eight hours last night. So I think that perhaps I am not imagining things. I had chills an hour ago, and my temp is about one degree below normal---which is how I get when I'm sick.

On the other hand, Gracie's mew is coming back. I may still bring her in to get an X-Ray tomorrow, but that's good news.

Well, for something that isn't cat scratch fever, it's really freaking me out. Most of the right side of my head, from jaw to scalp, is swollen and painful to the touch. I called my doctor again.

I don't know that Gracie had anything but cat food in the last few days. She's not acting right. She's swallowing a lot, but she's eating normally. Go figure.

Thank God it's not cat scratch fever.
Been there. OWIE.

Did Miss Gracie play/chew anything small in the last few days?

Can cats get laryngitis?

Hope you both get well soon.

Those cats -- can't live with 'em, can't live without 'em.

Mostly, can't live without 'em.

I hope your eye is better soon, and that Miss Gracie gets her meow back.
