The scary intellect of Israel’s foes

Anti-Israel marchers in London—all 5,000 strong—took to the streets to protest the Gaza war. Of course, CNN isn’t depicting the more hateful, anti-Semitic signs, but you have to love their choice of people to quote.

“It’s shocking and it’s terrible,” one woman told CNN, referring to the Israeli airstrikes. “I feel that even though I’m so far away, these people are human beings, and we have to look at what’s going on, and we can’t just sit by and watch it happen without doing anything.”

I am absolutely flummoxed at the intellect behind a quote like that.

And then there’s the brilliance of Annie Lennox:

Lennox said at a news conference Friday that television footage of the airstrikes in Gaza had disturbed her. “It shook me to the core,” she said, according to a video posted on the BBC’s Web site. “I was thinking as a mother, and as as a human being, how was this going to be the solution to peace?”

I think I can boil that down to two words: “War bad.”

Yes, Annie. Yes, it is. Especially when it’s being deliberately waged on civilians—which is what Hamas has done for years, and which you never saw fit to protest.

If anyone can find me a single protest against the massacres that are going on in the Congo, perhaps we can send a letter to Annie and friends and see what they think of that.

Protest the murderous terrorists? What? You can’t be serious. That would demonstrate common sense. Why in the world would they demonstrate against those who hide amongst civilians? That would be counter-productive to them. They can only protest the Joooooooooooooos who are trying to keep their security.
Protest the murder vest wearers, the audacity of that………..

We all know that the Jews in Israel are perceived as white westerners, and the Palestinians as brown middle easterns. In the Congo, both sides are black Africans. Bleeding hearts on the far left will always stick with the darker side. Or the side that has less guns and airplanes.

The coverage and the comparisons of Israelis to Nazis remind me of the trailer of “This is DNN” and the parody on “Fahrenheit 12/7”.
Here is my comparison: In 1945 western nations bombed cities of people who murder Jews out of blind hate. Innocent children died.

In 2008 a western nation (and a Jewish one this time) is bombing cities in a society where over 70%, probably over 80% of the people think it’s okay to shred the flesh off of Jews for being Jews. And yes, just like the children of Nazi Germany, the innocent children of Nazi Gaza die as well. Though god knows who is really dead and who is paliwood dead.

Strange indeed that we are being asked to have sympathy on the very people that applaud the terrorist shelling of Israel for decades, the same people that elected terroists to head their goevrnment, the very same people that rejoiced as thosands of innocent people in the US died for “their cause”, the same people that subjugate women to 3rd class citizenshiop. Sorry, I’ll not suffer a pang of conscience. Lonmg live Israel!!!!

The lack of American and international condemnation of Hamas’ bombing is, quite frankly, alarming. By condemning Israel for defending itself, we run the risk of further enabling terrorist activities around the world. I would have hoped that president-elect Obama would have been more forceful in his comments. Thus far, he has been frighteningly silent.

The modern version of Neville Chamberlain, otherwise known as “Obama” has to wait until he sees which way the wind is blowing before he can stake out a “position.”
