I called the Southeast Region office of American Friends of Magen David Adom at 800-626-0046 since I live in South Florida and made the contribution. Some of my friends made it through the website at www.afmda.org. Either way it's a real mitzvah! I agree that people should be supporting Magen David Adom to support the heroid volunteers and staff who are working tirelessly to save lives in Israel. They are on high alert, risking their lives to save others. Most of them are volunteers. Since I'm living in the U.S. and can't donate blood from here, the least I can do is support them with funds that can be used to purchase flak jackets, helmets, and other protective gear while they are helping others. MDA is Israel's second line of defense and we need to do what we can to provide them with the necessary tools for them to do what they do best, save lives in Israel. I gave to MDA this morning.
