As it stands now, Egypt has only opened the border for the tunneling smugglers. That's not an acceptable state of affairs. Among Begin's worst mistakes IMO was to agree in Israel's treaty with Egypt that Gaza was not part of Egypt. Egypt hasn't lived up to its side of the bargain, so I don't see why Israel is stuck with its side. Hold Egypt accountable for the rocket fire, I say.
