Maybe they could do an event for CF this year, and next year do an event for sickle cell anemia.
It is true that CF affects whites (e.g. people from Europe and the Near East) more than blacks and Asians, but it is not X-linked, so it does affect females as frequently as males. My parents have friends whose daughter-in-law has CF.

What is silly is that many diseases are more prevalent in certain populations. Kids with autism are more likely to have parents involved in math and science fields, African Americans have a higher prevalence of heart disease and smoker’s are less likely to have Parkinson’s. This is just wrong and some college students need a good kick in the butt.

But I bet they would have supported a fund-raising drive for Sickle Cell Anemia, whose victim population is mostly black. That would have been seen as a diverse move in itself — all races joining to help.

This is racism against whites besides being moronically misinformed. I can picture the students of color, or perhaps some white students, coming in all puffed up with importance — they’ve uncovered a new proof of racism on the part of the college! Very serious faces, references to historic wrongs, citations of health care access by blacks, and so on. Everything except checking the facts.

I can hear the conversation now.

“How do you know it only attacks white people?”

“Oh, Jamal told us while we were smoking dope in the dorm last night.”

“Where did he get it?”

“I think he said he read it somewhere on the web. I don’t remember last night too clearly.”

“Read it somewhere on the web, eh? Well that should settle the question for once and for all.”

It appears these morons’ motive is racism. Somebody should expel these clowns, they obviously don’t have the brains for Uni level study.
