By the way, I am intrigued that now he’s a possible goodguy with a conscience, he’s being referred to as Gabriel rather than Sylar. Considering he’s the only character who took on a superhero/supervillian name [and "Flying Man" doesn't count] I kind of miss it…

Question: Would anyone Arthur had in a trance have been freed when his power was interrupted during the eclipse? This goes to the greater question of whether certain powers such as the trance, Matt and Father’s mind powers and illusions, etc continue on under their own power or whether there has to be an active contribution to it. I don’t think there’s evidence that healing reverses but anyone like Adam who was a self-healer and was old would have crumped.

Yes, future Peter grabbed it from future Claire and took it back with him. However, besides the problem of healing Nathan, we have the problem of how the previous generation got their powers and if they lost them during this eclipse, why did they not lose them earlier and what effect did the earlier eclipse have on them.

BTW I think that Arthur is capable of deciding whether or not to remove the powers from a victim. Hero could still use his powers even though his memory is gone.

Peter and Gabriel would probably have learned how to do this as they matured in their powers had the eclipse not removed it totally.

We don’t really know the extent of Future Peter’s powers, so it’s possible he healed Nathan. Another possibility is that the gunshot never happened at all; it could have been an elaborate hallucination created by Peter using Parkman-like powers that he simply removed later. I don’t remember if a gun was ever found.

Future Peter heals him. We never find out how; but I suspect he gives Nathan some of his blood that has Claire’s and the Samurai’s healing power.

Thanks Elisson for the reminder. That was the idea. Consider that Sylar (Gabriel) actually managed to get Elle’s power without opening her up. Similarly, once he did that, she no longer was in pain. Consider that, apparently, the father and two sons have the same basic power, but express it completely differently.

It should be interesting when the eclipse is over. I wonder how they will get the powers back.

Aggghhh. I’m still watching “Heroes,” but it’s getting more and more frustrating trying to keep up with who can do what, who’s a Bad Guy, and who’s a Good Guy.

At the end, it will be revealed that the whole thing was a dream…by Hiro’s buddy Ando.

It appearas that the abilities are not really under the full control of the people involved. Since they appear to be tied to the mind and what people really want (consider Daphne), perhaps it was the interaction between the two of them. As a result, they actually have all the powers but only manifest them based on their personalities and what powers they think they have. Consider the Science Fiction story of the planet where people develop the powers and their subconscious dreams kill them as they manifest (forgot the name).

I’m wondering if Nathan himself attributes his healing to God, like he did after he was shot. I find myself thinking if that might help convince him to run for president, as he could see his healings as God’s declaration that He had a higher purpose for Nathan that he was saving him…

The in-show healing? I dunno. I think that Future Peter picked up a lot of abilities over the time. Hell, if he got on good terms with Redeemed Sylar, they could regularly meet and Peter could download the updates…
