If you’re thinking of voting for Obama…

Name a single major accomplishment of his that does not include running for office.

Just one.

What laws has he helped pass? Who has he helped? What, exactly, has he done?

While he was “writing a letter” about Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac’s problems, John McCain was writing legislation—that was not supported by the Democrats.

Vote for John McCain, who has a lifetime of accomplishment. Or vote for the man who has been running for office nearly his entire legislative career.

Your choice.

Agreed. His IL state track record was Emil Jones putting Obama’s name on other Democrats’ hard-fought legislation so Obama could run it across from the 99-yard line. It didn’t endear him to his fellows in the state senate.

“Jones appointed Obama sponsor of virtually every high-profile piece of legislation, angering many rank-and-file state legislators who had more seniority than Obama and had spent years championing the bills.”

Even the CBS version touches on this “bill-jacking”:

Funny that not one of the obama supporters can answer any of the questions you have posed. All they say is change, and the last 8 years has been a nightmare. When did people lose the ability to think

Sens. Lugar and Obama secured funding to destroy conventional weapons stockpiles, intercept weapons of mass destruction and respond to proliferation emergencies.

Jason – funny, ever comment I make here is “awaiting moderation”, even though I follow the rules Meryl has set.

USASpending.gov is another one as well as a law requiring all interrogations by police in Illinois to be videotaped. Each of which he worked across party lines to get passed. But people just want to hear how he is a socialist and a terrorist. So why bother.

  6. Alex Bensky says:

Accomplishments? You are worryingabout accomplishments, Meryl? How old-fashioned of you. Obama is for change and hope. How can you be against change and hope?

For a number of reasons I won’t be able to get to vote before about six p.m. and since I live in a heavily black neighborhood, I expect by then there’ll be quite a line. I’m bringing a book.

Jeff, no, that one is one of the series that Jones took from its long-time author and sponsor and gave to Obama to run across the line. No across-the-aisle reach necessary – the Dems controlled both houses and the Governorship in IL.

But you just want to hear what makes you feel good about him. “So why bother.”

Here is $20, go get some change for me.
Obama is a disastrous choice for President. I am praying like I never prayed before for a McCain victory (and I was a Giuliani supporter first, Romney second, Thompson third).
