Thanks Alex.
The Quakers ahve been apologists for tyranny since as far back as I can remember. I saw one of them speak at a college around 1970 telling the audience what splendid chaps the Vietnamese Communists were and how evil the US was for opposing the spread of communist tyranny there. They don't get too upset about things like the Cambodian killing fields or Gulags though; eggs and omelettes dontcherknow.

Actually, I'll try to find out and report to the class. I could not find such an invitation on the web but that may be due to my lack of skills.
So I found the website for the Mennonite Central Conference and sent an e-letter to their general address--they don't list a separate e-mail address for Ms. Klassen.
I tried to keep it neutral, just noted their invitation and asked if they have ever extended a similar invitation to an Israeli prime minister. I'll wait ten days and then let you all know what, if anything, I found out.

I'd be curious to know if the Mennonites or the American Friends Service Committee have ever extended an invitation to any Israeli prime minister. Anyone know?
