Protesting Dinner With Mahmoud

Religious leaders who think that breaking bread with a man who has called for the destruction of Israel not once, not twice, but many times; a man who is perfectly comfortable with the tyranny that is Iran; a man who says the Holocaust was “a fake” do not deserve to have a peaceful dinner with Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

There will be a second protest, this one at the Grand Hyatt, where the religious leaders are hosting the dinner.

These religious leaders are about to betray their brethren across all religions, parties, and countries by “honoring” the tyrannical regime of Ahmadinejad and the Iranian mullahs of this terrorist state.

At the same time, Women United, the Jewish Action Alliance, Stand With Us, Center for Security Policy, the Catholic League, the Traditional Values Coalition, the Alliance of Iranian Women and over 20 other organizations of all faiths and political affiliations will hold an interfaith rally to counter this BETRAYAL, to protest Ahmadinejad’s presence at the United Nations, and to oppose Iran’s nuclear weapons program and outrageous threats against the USA and America’s ally, Israel. See the full list of participating organizations HERE , updated daily.

Governor Sarah Palin has been invited to speak at this protest.

If you’re in New York, please go.

The list of groups “honoring” Ahmandinejad is interesting. It includes the American Friends Service Committee, and anyone who thinks they are genuinely against violence in all its forms need only look at their website. The section on what they call the Palestinian-Israeli conflict–and is, of course, more accurately the Arab-Israeli conflict–is instructive. There is a sweet little picture of children in a Gaza refugee camp in class. I wonder what the children are learning.

I guess they’re OK with people threatening mass destruction, especially when it’s Jews. I’d be curious to know how many Jews would actually have to be killed before they might reconsider the invitation.

The stink of appeasement rises from Turtle Bay. Many of the same organizations who prance about worshiping Obama and shouting “Bush=Hitler” rub their hands in glee at the thought of going shoulder to shoulder with a true mass murderer.
Don’t these same groups scream for equality, gay rights, women’s rights?
When Ah-need-a-job claps his hands and sees a great glowing light each time an Iranian is stoned for homosexuality, witchcraft, washing their hands, etc….do these same self-absorbed liberals pout and claim that he is merely misunderstood, or do they fathom the degree of ruthless insanity which haunts Islamofascism?
    Birds of a feather.

If Gorilla Boy talked in Christian idiom I think most of the people who purr over him and who denounce Bush as a warmonger would be out demanding, in the most strident terms, that Bush do something to stop Iran, not tomorrow, but yesterday, last month. After all if we translate his blather into terms that Westerners would be more familiar with he is calling for nuclear war to bring about the Second Coming and the Battle of Armageddon. He would be identifying Bush as the Antichrist and proposing to start the war to bring about the end of the world, as described in Revelations. I suspect that it is because he is speaking in unfamiliar Shi’a Muslim terms, combined with the condescension of liberals towards non-Western people, that prevents our good thinkers from realizing what it is he really proposes, and that he means it seriously.
