Ten years today

I just realized: Ten years ago today, I quit smoking.

I’m thinking by now, I’ve saved enough money to pay for my living room set, my kitchen set, and my Jeep.

Congratulations, Meryl. I have never smoked but I know how hard it can be to kick the habit.

Wow! I didn’t realize how expensive those ciggies were, nonsmoker here. My congratulations on beating a really nasty, difficult to beat addiction.

Well, I was paying two-something a pack when I quit. It’s up to three-something here in VA, but it’s over five bucks a pack in NJ. I smoked a carton a week. Figure an average of even the low end, $30 a week, that’s $15k in ten years. And Okay, so maybe not the Jeep for the low end. But still…. $15,000 in ten years. Yeesh.
