I don't think that the NYT, WaPo or Ha'aretz were making that up. Whether there was substance to those allegations is a different matter. We all saw what happened after Israel gave back the Gaza. After sixty years it should be obvious to all that it is not about a piece of land. It's about "no Israel period". Only after the west frees itself from the dependance on Arab oil, will they stop holding the west and indeed the whole world hostage.
