Happy EATAPETA Day

It’s International Eat a Tasty Animal for PETA Day.

Go ahead. I’m having dairy for breafkast, and meat for dinner, which will be in the company of all six members of the G. family.

Join us. Well, from wherever you are, not at the restaurant. It’s not big enough for all of us.

We’re having lamb cooked with cumin, black pepper, garlic and sherry. Mmmm :-)

I went to a steakhouse for lunch and had a big rare T-Bone, whipped potatoes with garlic and butter, a Caesar salad covered with Parmesan cheese, and fresh bread with fresh whipped butter. I took pictures of the table at various stages and I’ll see if I can send them to Ingrid Newkirk.Oh, and a tip for all you little leaguers out there: surreptitiously snapping photos of your food with a cell phone is a sure-fire way to get great service. Why, I had two managers come over to my table and ask if I needed anything! They were both surprisingly eager to ensure my enjoyment of the meal. It must be because they could tell I was such a discerning gourmand.

Oops. The comment system ate my p tags. There should be a paragraph break after the sentence ending with “Ingrid Newkirk.”

  4. Chicken was goooooood… Hope you liked the t-shirt.

    yag

Lessee. A couple of eggs on top of a salmon patty for breakfast. A corned beef and tongue sandwich for lunch (plus a herring appetizer so the Denizens of the Sea didn’t feel left out). For dinner, a nice plate of spinach, rigatoni, and Italian sausage.

Tomorrow’s dinner? Steak and Kidney Pudding.

    Meeeeeat!

  6. Randy says:

    Jason,

    Checked you cholesterol lately?

Not that I have anything against steak, butter and more butter.

I’ll make my contribution by having some fish and chicken.

    Hope that qualifies…

Just don’t take this eatapeta campaign to the local Korean community…not that I’m anti-Korean. I don’t want them eyeing my dog for dinner….and I don’t know if they’ll find your cat tasty, Meryl.

I guess it all depends on which animals get to be eaten.

I guess I’ll just eat my animal protein without consideration to any “campaigns.” I prefer Meryl’s pro-Israel stuff anyway…which is why I’m here.

And of course I don’t like Peta comparing eating animals to the Holocaust. Hitler treated his dogs better than he treated my people.

  7. Liana says:

Yesterday morning, I made an English muffin breakfast sandwich with sliced turkey. Lunch was smoked fish on toast. M and I went out for dinner and he had steak while I enjoyed corned beef and cabbage. Take that, PETA!
