The Olmert government has been overtly hostile to the Jewish religion and its practitioners. It’s difficult to think of an Israeli administration that was not. Christians have no big interest in the temple mount. Granted, the Crusaders did use the Dome of the Rock as a church. Anyway, the news articles I read lately said that Jews would get exclusive control of the Western Wall area, Muslims exclusive control of the temple mount minus the Western Wall, and the Old City "holy basin" would be jointly administered, but still each religion would be responsible for their own sites.
