Einstein himslef did not do much work to develop nuclear weapons, just sort of encouraged the US government to do so. I’m more surprised they haven’t taken him to task for his support of Zionism.

Curiously enough both the Nazis and the Communists were hostile to Einstein’s theories, and scientists in both Germany and Russia had to spend time convincing morons that “Jewish Physics” or “The Triumph of Mechanism” (capitalist physics) were nothing of the kind and were necessary if nuclear bombs were going to be produced. I wonder if Iranian physicists have to explain to Ayatollahs that E really does equal M times Csquared, even if the Qur’an does not say so.
