That makes me wonder if there isn't something more to this story than an either naive or audacious Christian getting caught in Mecca. I'm Jewish, if I want to visit Italy I can go to Vatican City, tour the Sistine Chapel, stand out in the plaza while the Pope blesses the crowd. Nobody gets bent out of shape and somehow the whole edifice of Christianity doesn't come tumbling down. What a crock.
