When in doubt, cat pictures
When the world is filled with almost nothing but bad news, post cat pictures.
This was taken about a week ago, a rare twofer of the pair of them on the air conditioning unit. The unit is off. They don’t like it when it rumbles. Actually, Gracie was there first, and I got Tig to jump up in the hopes of getting the two of them together. She doesn’t like being near Tig, because he’s usually a jerk to her. This is a picture of Gracie moments afterward:
She’d rather be by herself. And yes, that’s her slightly ticked-off look. Tig was trying to get on her AC unit, you see. Plus, she’s smart enough to know that when I take her picture, there’s a flash. But not smart enough to know that I don’t use it in the daytime.

You are so right, sometimes we just need to enjoy the sweet innocence of these beautiful animals [and the other positive things in our lives] and not worry about things we have no control over.

She looks pissed, but she may not be. Either Tig is trying to get on the AC unit, or she thinks I’m going to use the flash. She really is the smartest of the two of them. Too smart for me, almost. Gets harder and harder to give her her pills.
