Witnesses are usually required to gain a conviction and forensic tests are not normally used in such cases." Bear in mind that in cases of rape four men must testify that it was rape to prove the charge against the rapist. If four men can't be found to testify then there is not enough evidence to convict. Then the woman who brought the charge risks being charged with fornication or adultery. The article does not say that was what happened in this case, but it could be.
