Go figure. When I was teenager, my friends and I used to occasionally go to a Ukrainian restaraunt in New York for pierogies and blintzes, etc. My one friend would make a joke a that we were eating from the hands of those who killed us. It doesn't seem like a such a funny joke today. Still can't get too down about the situation. It's not like its been any different for a 1000 years there and thankfully I live a long way away from the Ukraine. As for the Ukraine and Poland, that's where they came from, not their citizenship. Ukranian and Polish emmigrants to Canada have left that kind of baggage behind when they arrived here.
