Gracie update: The labs are back
It’s IBD.
It’s totally treatable.
And it’s only taken an extra three weeks due to sheer incompetence at the old vet’s.
I have an appointment with the new vet this afternoon. I had them fax him the lab results, and then told them to pack up both my cats’ records and send them to me next week.
We’re done with them, and on to a vet who knows what he’s doing.
Gracie is going to be back to her old self in no time.
I am a happy, happy woman. Gracie will soon be a happy, happy cat, though this morning, after her breakfast of tunafish, her deep, throaty (normal!) purr told me she was already getting fairly happy.

Wonderful news! May Gracie recover fully, quickly. When will she be healed enough for a belly rub?

We’re so happy to hear your good news! “We” being one human and three felines.
Bentley is feeling better today too, but your story makes me more inclined to get the biop$$$y so we know for sure.
Have a great weekend, and thanks for sharing the ups, downs and details.

Yippee! Wonderful news. May Gracie’s healing be swift and complete. Please give her (and Tig) lots of skritches from me, and a bellyrub when she’s ready for it.

Oh Meryl, I am SO glad to see this!!! I’ve been under the weather myself, so I haven’t been around, but this morning I finally feel really human again so I had to check. Yay! I’m so glad Gracie has IBD instead of something that’s not treatable. :) :) :) I’m sure she’ll be fine now that you know how to help her out. I’m grinning from ear to ear. You go, Gracie! :)
