In the here and now, though, we are the ones who need to protect Israel and the rest of humanity from militant Islam. However, saying this and with all due respect: how does a Jew pass through life being serious all the time? Don't you think that it could be against the Jewish soul and that there is a danger that something might be lost on our way to the world where all is well? But that doesn't mean he isn't being taken seriously. On the other hand, I am a woman of faith. I don't believe that the Gd of Abraham is about to let Israel disappear. It would be better to take him seriously; to assume that he means what he says. The world made the mistake of assuming that Hitler was simply a posturing madman. We should not repeat that mistake.
