A tip for you all: If you ever drop a box of toothpicks, make sure you find them all.
Half an inch of pointed, wooden toothpick in the ball of your foot is a very unpleasant experience.

I hope that it all came out cleanly, and that your tetanus shots are current.

Oh boy! Hope you are OK now. Cheer up, I have a similar rule: when you have killed a wasp, make sure it a) stays killed and b) does not crawl into your shoe to recover. If you like, you can reverse the order of the two sub-rules.
No details in writing ;-)

I thought tetanus shots was for rusty metal objects.
I think I got one a bunch of years ago, after having no idea how long ago the last one had been.
But manohman, that hurt. There was a news story about a kid with a pitchfork through his foot a couple of days ago. I cannot imagine how much pain he must have been in, because one tiny toothpick hurt like hell.

” If you ever drop a box of toothpicks, make sure you find them all. ”
Uh… “pain breaks the shell of understanding”. Perhaps Kahlil Gibran thought this one up during a similiar episode.
