The Butcher of Beslan has been blown away, but…

Russia finally wiped out the Butcher of Beslan:

FSB chief Nikolai Patrushev said Basayev, who claimed responsibility for the 2004 Beslan school attack in which 331 people, half of them children, were killed, was planning an attack to coincide with Russia hosting the G8 summit of world leaders this weekend.

In a televised meeting with Patrushev, Putin described Basayev’s death as “deserved retribution” for Beslan and other attacks.

This is deserved retribution against the bandits for our children in Beslan, in Budennovsk, for all these acts of terror they committed in Moscow and other Russian regions, including Ingushetia and Chechnya,” Putin said, according to Reuters.

“Deserved retribution?”

What did Putin say after Yassin and Rantisi were assassinated by Israel? I don’t remember hearing “deserved retribution” back then.

What has Putin said about the possibility of wiping out bloody-handed Hamas warlords Khaled Meshal or Ismail Haniyeh? I don’t remember hearing “deserved retribution” about it.

And what has Putin said about keeping mass-murderer Marwan Barghouti alive? Has anyone heard “deserved retribution” regaring him?

Not to mention any attempt against Arafat before he became the AIDS-infected corpse buried in the parking lot of the Mukata in Ramallah, of course.

From what the Russian-language online sources are saying, it may very well be a ‘work accident’ – it appears that he may have been driving a big truck full of explosives and they detonated. Russian security services may be too eager to claim the credit for the kill.
