Raw AP bias in action

In a series of photos of the Gaza Operation, there has been a consistent lie being told by the AP in nearly every caption. See if you can find the lie:

Palestinian youths take cover from Israeli sniper fire during an Israeli army incursion in Beit Lahiya, in the northen Gaza Strip, Friday July 7, 2006.

And another:

Palestinian youths run to avoid Israeli sniper fire during an Israeli army incursion in Beit Lahiya, in the northen Gaza Strip, Friday July 7, 2006.

No, not finished yet:

A Palestinian man runs past a burning tire to avoid Israeli sniper fire during an Israeli army incursion in Beit Lahiya, in the northen Gaza Strip,

Finally, the latest story/caption. This is the one link that will probably remain unbroken in this post (Yahoo! News tends to break links quickly).

Palestinians run past a burning tire to avoid Israeli sniper fire during an Israeli army incursion in Beit Lahiya, in the northen Gaza Strip, Friday July 7, 2006.

Have you picked out the consistent lie yet?

Now, let’s check out a caption from the terrorist point of view:

A Palestinian militant takes a position during an exchange of fire with Israeli soldiers near Karni Crossing outside Gaza City.

Isn’t it amazing that the palestinian terrorists take part in and “exchange of fire” but the Israeli soldiers are “snipers”?

No, there’s no anti-Israel bias in the AP. None whatsoever.

  1. Ben-David says:

The “burning tire” photo doesn’t show any nearby buildings – just a straight horizon.

    So:

    (1) Where’s the Israeli “sniper” – especially considering this is the first report of the Israeli incursion into this town?

    (2) what are the chances that this is another Bollywood production?
