I wasn't a couch potato, didn't watch much TV, didn't even have an Atari 2600 yet. So she took away my books. The books I loved to read. Voluntarily, for fun. Took 'em away. Punishment. (I would guess my crime was "smarting off in church".) That's nowhere near on topic, but I'd forgotten all about this, and you reminded me. Yours was a moving post, and I'm just trivializing it.
