The $3000 figure was from the <a href="http://www.salon.com/news/feature/2006/05/24/gaza/index1.html" rel="nofollow">same article</a>, but I hadn't reread it to check facts. It isn't an order of magnitude, and as this article is a few weeks old, I wouldn't be surprised if the price isn't up to $1,000. As for the model---well, that's what the article says they use, and that's what most articles that discuss the terrorists' weapon of choice say they use.
