An interesting story from the Australian explodes the myth of the “humanitarian crisis” that the palestinians are using to extort more money out of the EU.
But throughout Gaza, fewer people seem to be going without than at other times in the past six months. Donkey carts groaning under huge watermelons are popular with locals.
Restaurants and shwarma stands are doing brisk trades.
Balloon stalls and kite-sellers are making ends meet and taxi drivers seem to once again have found fuel.
Gaza beach, just to the south of Beit Lahiya beach, the scene of an explosion last Friday that killed seven family members and orphaned 11-year-old Ghalia Huda, was yesterday bustling with daytrippers.
Kids frolicked seemingly free of fears of more shells. Some peddled chocolates to passers-by.
But this part explains exactly why Hamas rushed to gather all of the evidence that could be used to prove the Gazans died as a result of a Hamas-planted bomb. And why Israel was shelling the area, in spite of Kofi Annan’s refusal to believe that the pals hide behind civilians.
But as a boy ran through the sand to launch his kite, a more sinister launching took place behind him.
Out of the sand dunes burst a Qassam rocket, soaring skywards towards Israel through a brilliant blue sky.
The children froze in their tracks and looked for their parents. Some started to run, the ghosts of the week before still fresh in their minds. A mother called out to them and their panic quickly stopped.
“She said the Israelis won’t send their bombs again,” a small girl said before scampering back to her sandcastle.
No, they won’t. The lies have achieved their purpose. The world will be watching Israel’s response to kassam rockets even more closely, and downplaying kassam attacks on Israel—because eight Gazans died in a beach explosion, yards away from where kassams were being launched towards Israel.
The Gaza beach explosion aftermath achieved its purpose: Propagandizing as much as possible to prevent future Israeli attacks on terrorists launching rockets. And the world bought it, hook, line, and sinker.
The EU is “close” to a deal to give the terror state more money, by pretending that Mahmoud Abbas doesn’t also want to destroy Israel. Go read the “prisoner’s letter” again—he does. Trust me on that one. The reason, as always, is the “humanitarian crisis” developing in Gaza. Except there is none. Not when Hamas turns down $50 million in medical aid and demands the cash instead. Not when Hamas can find the cash for 3,000 AK-47s for its new “security force,” and Fatah finds the same for 2,500 members of its new “security force.” Not when the going rate is somewhere between $1500-$3000 for an AK-47. How many millions did it cost to clothe and arm the “security forces”?
As for the starving, dying palestinians—not seeing that happening, except in the fevered press releases of the international Israel-hating set. Funny how the palestinians manage to be starving and fat, while the starvation on the African continent generally manages to go unnoticed by the EU, at least, not to the tune of hundreds of millions of dollars contributed each month.
And even worse, the EU is going to try to get Israel to channel the $50 million in tax money they collect each month from the palestinians (and someone please explain to me how the palestinians are paying this money if they’re as starved for cash as the media insist they are?) into the fund that will bypass Hamas—only to wind up in Abbas’ pockets. He is an unrepentant, unreformed PLO member. Don’t forget he was hand-picked by Yasser Arafat. You don’t get into that clique without espousing the palestinians raison d’etre: The destruction of Israel.
I hold out little hope that the situation is going to change. The only positive thing in all of this is that Hamas has been too stupid to play things the Arafat way: Pretend that you are reforming, and then secretly authorize terrorist attacks and continue working for the destruction of “the Zionist entity.” So the world can’t quite say that Hamas is moderating, at least, not without the rest of us pointing out that the emperor is naked.
Above all else, I am not surprised at the news. Disappointed, because I am ever the optimist, and hope that someday, the morons who support the PNA will wake up and realize that they’re just another side of the evil that is visible in public in Hamas, PIJ, and all the other declared terrorist organizations.
Yasser Arafat never changed. Neither has the PLO.
On a comment thread about whether Americans are actually caring more about soccer:
The United States plays Italy this Saturday. The really important questions are:
Which US player has to bring snack and which US player has to bring juice boxes?
Thanks, Patrick.
Remember - you have first learned about it here, so do not let any mass media running lackey dog of capitalism, imperialism and Zionism to tell you differently.
IRNA reports that no other than the Supreme Leader himself decided to come out and to confess that the nuclear technology was developed in Persia hundreds (thousands?) years ago.
“Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei here Thursday said that the honorable move of Iranian youth to access indigenous nuclear technology is a historical move contributing to promotion of civilization and urged that it should expand in various directions.”
The passage copied above deserves additional analysis, but later. First of all, the item of utmost importance: “indigenous nuclear technology“. This statement finally discloses the fact the Elders suspected for many years: nuclear technology was not researched in Europe to be later implemented in US first. It existed for thousands of years in Persia, being passed from generation to generation by word of mouth and via the highly specialized N-gene, which existence was predicted by some biologists, but was never proved to this day.
We’ll learn more about this story, but what is clear is that, as expected, Iranian President finally got the word from the Hidden Imam. And the word was: ” Go ahead and blow up at will”.
Needless to say, this discovery puts to eternal shame the Zionist innuendo about that stooge of the Elders - Einstein - having something to do with theoretical fundamentals for the nuclear energy. There is only one fundament necessary - firm belief in the words of Quran. No measly physical theory is needed, when every Allah-fearing Persian carries that nuclear ability from the moment of his birth.
Now some more textual analysis. The meaning of the strange notice on the upper right corner: “Iran Supreme Leader - Nuclear” is clear now. The Supreme Leader decided to become the first Persian to use the N-gene to the utmost and switched himself from the “neutral” position to “armed”. Pissing him off right now may be detrimental to the environment. He could go off at the slightest disturbance.
And re his advice to the Iranian youth that “should expand in various directions“: it may be a good idea, but the time and the place should be stated precisely. I am not sure the Supreme Leader wants the ardent Iranian youngsters to go nuclear in Iran. But in his highly volatile state he may have forgotten to convey the small details of the master plan.
