The Palestinian equivalent of the U.S.S. Maine?

Condemnations from all around the world are pouring in over the deaths of seven Palestinians on a Gaza beach from… from…

What did cause that explosion which led to their deaths, anyway?

Let’s take a break from the Cycle Of Blame and listen a minute to how the investigation is progressing

[Southern Command Chief Yoav] Galant added that the incident took place in close proximity to the area in which the former Dugit settlement was located – an area used by terror cells to fire Qassam rockets at Israel.

“We did not open fire toward the (Gaza beach) area, so it may have been a stray artillery shell,” he said. “We must also look into the possibility that the blast was caused by Palestinians who set off a bomb or dud.”

Hrm… interesting… so it’s quite possible that this was a Palestinian-caused explosion against Palestinian “civilians” on the beach?

You’d expect half-cocked reactions from Egypt, Syria, Lebanon, and even France, but perhaps those fuming with rage and condemnation will screech to a halt and apologize for their disporportionate diplomatic attacks on Israel once they realize the truth behind this incident?

I doubt it.

The double standard is so disgusting. I watched CNN this morning and they kept showing the little Palistinian girl in shock, then CNN indicated that Hamas was now shooting rockets into Israel for revenge. CNN totally disregards the fact that Arabs shooting rockets into Israel started this exchange to begin with, and that Israel apoligizes when civilians are hurt, but arabs hand out candy when they kill Jews. I suppose this will now go the UN for an emergency session to stop Israeli “aggression.”

    Thank goodness for John Bolton!

  2. Gary Rosen says:

I wonder how many of the Palestinian deaths, if someone actually bothered to investigate, have been caused by their own bullets since the intifada started in 2000. That happens, you know, when you undertake military operations from the midst of civilian populations.

  3. DANEgerus says:

LGF has the video and it is clearly staged… flashback to Al-Dura.

The MSMs are all spouting that for the Jews to dare to fire back at rockets that are targeting Jewish civilians will result in Hamas ending the truce and firing rockets at Jewish civilians.

    Uh… huh… some truce.

Given that there was no ‘outrage’ at the recent anti-rocket barrage just days ago that injured “journalists” and “ambulance drivers” the attention given this fraud is all the more absurd.

Yet it is amusing that nobody cared that the “journalists” were injured.

  4. Alex Bensky says:

Naturally, if it turns out this was a Pali explosion it will make no dent at all in the world’s consciousness.

The lying movie “Jenin” is still playing and the fact that Mohammed al-Dura fell to a Palestinian bullet has pretty much escaped everyone.

  5. LynnB says:

Evidence seems to be accumulating that the IDF wasn’t responsible. The timing is wrong, the injuries of those who survived aren’t consistent with the shell scenario and Hamas gunmen were cleaning up the evidence even before security people arrived.

But as Alex says, no one will care.

The IDF took quick responsibility for Al Dura, too. They really need to bag that hair trigger apology thing.
