Israel had set up industrial areas at the crossing points so that Palestinians would have where to work and not far to travel but they were also shot up and bombed into closure and the UN said nothing. This just made sure that the <em>pawns</em> were kept dependent on Hamas and UNWRA and the UN maintained the farce of its importance. All the time that Hamas and IJ bombed Karni, Erez and other crossing points to keep Palestinians from getting to work in Israel proper to keep the pawns tied to Hamas’ purse strings the UN said nothing.
