French Jews: Leave France

French Jews are beginning to think that perhaps the French are not reliable protectors of Jews. Babelfish translated the last paragraph of this article about Jewish reaction to the horrible torture/murder of Ilan Halimi:

The shock wave is such as, always on midgal. COM, certain Net surfers insist on the urgency to leave France which would have become hostile with the Jews: “It is necessary to very seriously think of making your alya (“rise “towards Israel, note)”, advises a Net surfer. “Only one watchword should guide us: to leave France, to leave Europe, cursed grounds soaked with Jewish blood “, recommends another. At the exit of the synagogue, Thursday evening, in front of a group of old people, a woman declared: “France it is finished.”

France has never protected its Jews. The souls of the accusers of Dreyfus live on. I am more than ever convinced that the decrease in French anti-Semitic attacks was due to the authorities lying about anti-Semitic attacks.

No Pasaran! links to an article in Le Monde (French), which describes how Jews are taking off their kippot, removing their Stars of David, and going so far as to dye their hair and wear blue contact lenses in an effort to look less Jewish — and thus attract no attention from the murdering Muslim “youths” in France. Again, the Babelfish translation isn’t so great (any readers who are fluent in French are welcome to post a better translation in the comments and I’ll replace it), but in the final paragraph, it points out the difference between the two communities. Two Muslim “youths” flee from the police and die, and French Muslim “youths” riot for weeks. A Jewish man is kidnapped, tortured, and murdered by Muslims, and the Jewish community carries on peaceful demonstrations and waits for the police to achieve justice.

I strongly suggest that French Jews do not rely on the authorities to protect them. Leave France. Go to Israel, where you will be in the majority and living in a Jewish state that would go to the wall to stop anyone from doing such a thing to anyone, including Muslims. Go to French-speaking Canada if you must: Canadian Jews aren’t being murdered in the streets. Yet. But their Jewish day schools all have armed guards now, just as French Jewish day schools do. Or come to America, where the Constitution protects you, and the state backs up the Constitution with deeds, not words. None of this “Liberté – Egalité – Fraternité” crap that is spoken of at every opportunity, but disproven by the actions of French “youths,” and the actions of the authorities to their crimes.

But leave France. Let the French, who are blind to the cancer within their nation, deal with the Muslim “youths” when there are no Jews left to torture, and the bored youths pick on French housewives instead.

Remember Pastor Martin Niemöller’s famous poem: When they came for the Jews, I did not speak out. I was not a Jew.

France will not protect you. After centuries of living there, French Jews, haven’t you gotten it yet?

Leave France. Just — leave.

    Rashi weeps.

  2. Michael Lonie says:

Arik told them that a couple of years ago and raised a firestorm of criticism from the Quai d’Orsay. A truth cutting a bit too close to the bone there, and the Frogs didn’t like it one bit.

I gather the French now have in custody all the scum who tortured and killed Halimi, except the ringleader, who has been captured elsewhere. Now we’ll see what they do with them. If the beaurs riot again over their trial what will the French government do?

  3. Ben F says:

Caroline Glick is critical of Israel for failing to speak out about the torture and murder of Halimi. She connects this, plausibly I think, to the insecure “conditional Zionism” of the current Kadima regime.

  4. Alan Furman says:

    Ideas have consequences.

Political correctness — anti-individualism plus militant subjectivism plus hatred of the British-American enlightenment with cultural moral equivalence for everyone else — arose in the land of Rousseau and Sartre. That country is now intellectually disarmed in the face of barbarian subversion.

The leftwing radicals of the 1960s, who thought the Communist enslavement of Vietnam was a victory for the good guys, imported political correctness and now impose it on liberal arts education. Their mushbrained former students, duly indoctrinated, have gone on to work in the media, putting out the party line in the guise of news. You already know the kind of treatment Israel gets (not to mention anyone to the right of Castro). Just last week I (unwisely) happened to glance at a local item in the San Jose Mercury News that referred to CAIR as a “civil rights group.”

The Anglosphere has been a haven for Jews, and has been indispensible in helping Israel to remain a haven for Jews, because of a culture of individualism, capitalism, and objectivity. It is time for Jews to denounce the promoters of politically correct dishonesty in our midst who seek to undermine that culture.

I agree, it is time to get out of France.

  6. Sabba Hillel says:

Remember that Niemoller was originally an anti-semite. It was only after he realized that he was in the line of fire that he changed(?) his mind. It seems that the French will not realize what is happening until they are in the middle of the full scale civil war.

  7. Alex Bensky says:

And when the Jews leave France and the rest of Europe it will be as someone said, and I wish I could remember who: “Europe used to have a minority that was generally hard-working, creative, and law-abiding. Now it has the minority it deserves.”

I am grateful to Europe–Lithuania and Russia in particular–for one thing–for scaring my grandparents so badly they didn’t stop running until they got to Rochester, NY and Omaha.

  8. Mickey says:

    I completely agree with #4.

How can any Jewish person even think of living anywhere in Europe. I know it’s not so easy to go here or there, but Europe does not deserve Jews.

Yes, France is a dangerous place to live in for Jews. France is one of
the hottiest spots in Europe regarding this issue, as we saw with the
increasing waves of (islamic) antisemitism that skyrocketed the French
Aliyah last years, and the furious car-firing riots of the last months and
recently with the issue of that poor young French jew (Ilan Halimi) that was
kidnapped, tortured and barbarously murdered by an islamic gang. And I think
this is just the outer tip of the iceberg. In an article by Caroline Glick I read that French Muslims
make up between 10 to 13 percent of the French population and comprise a
quarter of the French population under 25 years old, and it’s increasing, so
the future will be worse and worse there.
But leaving ones’home is very very difficult, and migratory barriers are not easy to traspase. It’s not like in our granparent’s times, and America don’t welcome immigrants anymore. Thanks God Israel is and hopefuly will be for ever the home for every Jew in the world.
