Maybe the three terrorists were the border patrol of the PA.

It is a source of never ending amusement that the Arabs huff and puff and declare that they are at war with Israel, then when Israel responds in an appropriate manner to people who are at war with her and trying to kill Israelis, the Arabs whine that the Israelis shot at them. Those Jews just don’t know their place, which is to be victims!

I suspect this is actually an important point in the psychopathology of the Arabs. The Jews are supposed to bare their throats when the Master Race comes to kill them. They are not supposed to resist and then, just to add injury to insult, win. This strikes at the fraglie amour-propre of the Muslims. It damages their gigantically overdeveloped egos. Time, long past time, for them to grow out of it.

because Bush gave Abbas a pass on complying with his obligations under the "Roadmap". Why he has even waived sanctions, every 6 months, against the PLO for non-compliance of their Oslo accord obligations Furthermore, I hereby determine that it is in the national security interest of the United States to waive that sanction, pursuant to section 604(c) of the Act. See, when it hurts Israel then it's in the national security interest, just like the sting operation by the Feds against AIPAC.

I guess the real question is why the PA didn’t take these three out? They claim to be Israel’s partner in trying to stamp out terrorism in the region, say they are trying to bring about calm and stability. They even have said that they have begun to patrol their own borders. Well, evidently not! I may hate the violence there, but these people could have caused more violence and unrest in the region, and if the PA wants to work with us to prevent violence, they should be eliminating these threats before they become threats.

The “investigation” is to determine why they were caught and how to avoid getting caught in the future. Alternatively, the PA is investigating why the Israelis did not kill all three (which the PA would have preferred) as that leaves two alive to vote against the Fatah in the elections.
