While it’s true that the Arab world wold be hurt by an embargo on Israeli goods, Israel would be hurt worse. The economy in Israel is horrible now, and Israel needs to increase international sales. If only the Arab world boycotts, not a huge effect on international sales.

But what about when other countries join the boycott? Russia is a major consumer of Israeli goods, but if the boycott occurs that will probably cease as their alliance with Iran and now Syria will prohibit trade with Israel. Other countries may have the same dilemna, including France.

I’m not sure if the boycott is avoidable, but if it is, Israel should pursue diplomatic efforts to avoid the boycott.

Think about it, folks. We have given the Arabs *hundreds* of billions of dollars for a mineral they couldn’t even get out of the ground without our technology.

And what have they done with all that money? Where are all the great universities, the scientific and medical advances, the Nobel Prizes? Instead it’s mostly financed their limousines and concubines, with a little left over to bribe the local psychopaths into terrorizing us instead of them. We would have been better off burning the cash directly to fuel our cars.

Now they can claim that we have timed it on purpose, since we already have the remedy…
