Lies the palestinians tell us

Why does the Iranian president say that the Jews have no ties to Israel? Because it’s a widespread lie through the Arab/Muslim world (and beyond), and it is passed along daily in a thousand different ways–including by the official website of the Palestinian Authority:

The construction works are planned to be financed by several ministries; phased over five-year period. These include propping up what is called as “Heshmonaem Tunnel” – a tunnel that passes under Al-Aqsa mosque – and building a befitting infrastructure for it, in addition to air-conditioning installation; restoration works of Al-Buraq wall, setting up additional arrival halls to receive the tourists who come to visit Al-Buraq square; constructing a heritage centre – dedicated to show a fabricated heritage that might will help them to deceive the foreign visitors into believing Jerusalem as a historical place of the Jews; building a police station; carrying out a marketing project to encourage the Jewish soldiers and students visit the Islamic holy square of Al-Buraq along with Al-Aqsa mosque.

And Condi Rice had the nerve to praise Mahmoud Abbas for reining in incitement against Israelis. Shyeah. Sure, he is. Just like he’s in control of the political situation these days. Just take a quick gander here to see the incitement that Abbas is not doing a damned thing about. Then again, what do you expect from the man who renewed Arafat’s habit of paying the families of suicide bombers?

Don’t forget that Mahmoud Abbas has a doctorate in Holocaust denial. His dissertation was published in book form in 1983.

The Other Side: The Secret Relations Between Nazism and the Leadership of the Zionist Movement.

But it seems that Abbas is in denial about his Holocaust denial.

These are not “Lies the palestinians tell us.” These lies are lies that the PALESTINIAN ARABS tell us.

The biggest lie of all is that THEY are “the Palestinians,” which connotes that Jews in Eretz Israel are NOT Palestinians. Go back to General Assembly Resolution 181 and look at the usage of the adjective “Palestinian.” In all instances but one the term refers to citizenship status and applies to Jews and Arabs alike. The final appearance of the term is in the phrase “the two Palestinian peoples.”

The PLO still rejects the concept of two Palestinian peoples, insisting that Palestine is Arab land. That is the Big Lie.

In Mandate palestine the Arabs refused to refer to themselves as Palestinians. If you found somebody who called himself that, he was sure to be Jewish.

Those Muslims who deny the Jewish connection with Eretz Israel may be apostates for contradicting the Quran. I think there is a sura in the Quran that describes the country as the country of the Jews, given to them by Allah. Don’t remember the number.

    Michael–

The references in the Qur’an to God’s grant of the land to the Jews tend to be tied to stories of Jewish disobedience and punishment. Consider Surah 5, verses 18-32.

But the key passage is 17:104. One translation–

And we said to the Children of Israel afterwards, “Go live in this land. When the final prophecy comes to pass, we will summon you all in one group.”

This verse, unfortunately, is tied in Orthodox Islam to the infamous Hadith proclaiming that at the end of days the Muslims and the Land itself (except, of course, for the gharqad tree) will fight against the Jews. In other words, the ingathering of the exiles is to be the prelude for annihilation.
