Starting tomorrow, a new series. I warned you about it weeks ago. I thought about it. I wrote the post. I thought about it some more.

Yep. I’ll put it up tomorrow.

Of course, I may regret it by Monday, but hey, what’s life without a little risk?

The Pakistan quake’s effect on Al Qaeda

This is the news article I’ve been waiting to find:

No accurate estimate is as yet available on the human losses and material damage suffered by the Al Qaeda and other jihadi terrorist organisations belonging to Osama bin Laden’s International Islamic Front (IIF) as a result of the earthquake, which struck Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (POK) and the North-West Frontier Province (NWFP) of Pakistan on October 8,2005.

2. Of the members of the IIF, only the Lashkar-e-Toiba (LET) has openly admitted extensive damages to its infrastructure in the POK. It has also admitted the death of at least 70 of its cadres and an unspecified number of its POK-based office-bearers in the quake. It has not ruled out the possibility that many more of its cadres might have died in the POK. It has claimed that Prof-Hafeez Mohammad Sayeed, the leader of its political wing called the Jamaat-ud-Dawa (JUD), is alive and denied reports that he was in the POK at the time of the quake.

3. Maulana Abdul Aziz Alvi,a spokesman of the JUD, said at Karachi on October 11: “The group has taken a severe blow. The casualty figure may cross 100 and even more, as we have no information about those killed in other areas of Muzaffarabad.” He added that the organisation’s members, who survived the earthquake, were attending funerals after every two to three hours.According to him; the Jamaat’s religious schools and mosques had been razed to the ground. More than a dozen members died when the roof of the party office collapsed during a meeting, he said.

I can’t vouch for the accuracy of the information, but Al Qaeda and the Taliban had to have taken one hell of a hit in the earthquake. For all we know, Osama could have really bought it this time.

Rantburg has more. With a really funny Photoshop of a Fox News crawl.

Peace in the Middle East and other links

Via Judith Weiss, a very amusing article showing how world peace will break out if Israel would only dismantle itself:

From Russia to Morocco to Yemen to France, countries are anticipating the arrival of Israelis. In Moscow, an enormous banner was erected that read “Welcome Home, Jews.” and erstwhile presidential candidate Vladimir Zhirinovsky exclaimed, “I’m going to bake a huge batch of cookies for this homecoming!” And in cities throughout Germany, joyous “Judenfests” were ubiquitous, as local citizens were arranging festivals to celebrate the Jewish arrival. German foreign minister Joschka Fischer indicated that, “For some reason, the Jewish presence in Germany is low by historical standards; many of our citizens under the age of 70 have never even met a Jew. In addition to curing the world’s problems, the dismantling of Israel will give our people the opportunity to achieve their main wish in life - to live with Jews.”

Also check out Alcibiade’s post on the discovery of David’s Palace, a discovery that is causing the biblican revisionists to, ah, revise their stories back to, “Gee, maybe the Torah isn’t exaggerating the kingdoms of David and Solomon.”

I haven’t linked to Lynn in ages. There’s this post about Yom Kippur in Jerusalem, links to bloggers blogging Yom Kippur, and especially this on on the importance of Jerusalem to the Jewish people, and the lies about its importance to Muslims. Oh, and the lies about its importance to Jews, of course. Eff off, Jordan, you fake state.

Speaking of anti-Israel archeology, Solly is all over the latest liar. Solomonia: The blog that anticipates my posts.

From the JTA (javascript popup link only), a Jewish prisoner in Colorado who was getting kosher meals had them taken away as a punishment after being caught pocketing some butter and salad dressing from them.

We get front-page magazine articles about supposed Koran mishandling, and of course, nobody notices when real religious oppression takes place. Must be that Exception Clause.
